The MD of St. Paul Foundation has been serving the affordable housing needs of the citizens living in our member Municipalities since 1960. Visit the "About Us" page for more information on our history. We offer a number of housing solutions for seniors and for low income families and individuals.
Seniors may choose from independent apartment living or benefit from nutritious meals, recreational programs and the security of having 24 hour staffing in our supportive living facilities.
Low income families and individuals are offered rental accommodation operated by the Foundation with rents based on income or may receive a rent assistance benefit to help pay rent where they currently reside.
The Government of Alberta has redesigned its Rent Supplement Program to meet the needs of more Albertans, including working families and those most in need. As of April 1, 2022 we will be accepting applications for the Rent Assistance Benefit, formerly the Direct to Tenant Rent Supplement. This long - term benefit will continue to subsidize low income Albertans.

Lodge & Supportive Living
Many of our community members at MD of St. Paul Foundation require some degree of health and well-being monitoring. Our Lodge residence provides three meals a day, snacks, weekly housekeeping, social activities and the use of all public areas in the building as well as 24 hour lodge staff should you require assistance. We strive to go just one step further to make everyone feel like they’re truly at home with the MD of St. Paul Foundation.
Senior Self Contained Units
The MD of St. Paul Foundation has a total of 101 self contained units. Heritage Homes I with 30 units, Heritage Homes II with 24 units ( both located in St. Paul ), Buckingham House with 19 units, Fort George Manor with 12 units ( both located in Elk Point ), Ashmont Aspen Grove Apartments with 12 units and Mallaig Golden Homes with 4 units.
